I have been using my holiday time to learn pottery at home. I borrowed a turning wheel and threw chunks of clay to make some bowls. It is a very messy business, but nice to work with natural materials like clay from the earth.

家で大人しくしていましょう、ということなので、職場の学校から借りて来たロクロで遊んでいる。見よう見まねで、なんとかお碗のような物が出来上がったが、周りは粘土だらけ。床には白い足跡、ドアノブには粘土の塊り。茶碗を作るのよりも掃除の方が時間がかかる。なんとも非効率。でも、土から何か作るという行為は、原始的で良いと思う。
